Emotions

It is important to express your emotions. I know, sometimes we think to ourselves that expressing our emotions will show weakness. Or that if I show how I feel, I can hurt others around me. But the real issue is that built up emotions can cause so much harm to you! It may not surface right away, but down the road it can lead to serious health issues. Research has proved that build up emotions can be the cause of not only mental illness like depression and anxiety, but also to physical problems like heart disease, intestinal problems, headaches, insomnia and autoimmune disorders. It can take serious physical toll on your body. Don’t be afraid of facing your emotions. Face your emotions! Don’t let them build up in you and explode later in life. It’s ok to cry. If you need to cry, let it out, get it off your chest and lighten yourself up. If you are angry find the cause of your anger. Face your anger. Scream if you need to! And once you get it all out take a deep breath and think how you can solve what is causing that emotion in you. There is a solution to it, you just have to search within. Grief and sadness, they can be caused by any kind of loss and that is ok. Go through the process. Let it come and let yourself feel what you need to feel. And once you have felt it stand up dust yourself off and learn the process of letting go. It can be the hardest and most painful process, but once you learn and you let go, you will finally set yourself free. So feel what comes your way. Don’t hold it in. If you feel that you cannot get through it alone, reach out to someone. Reach out to a professional. There is nothing wrong with getting help. After all we are only human. Take care of yourself. Don’t let your emotions cause you harm. You matter always remember that.
