Anxiety

Anxiety

This is something that happens to all of us. Some more than others and some less than others. Regardless, we all experience this. I’ve been anxious all day and literally waiting for the panic part. Why? I don’t know this is just how I woke up. And yes, it’s totally normal. There is nothing wrong with any of us. We are just human.


So, how do we cope with anxiety?


-First, breathe. Like really breathe. Take a long breath in through the nose and slowly let it out through your mouth.


-Ground yourself. Focus on the things around you. The things you can feel, see, and hear. Start naming them and describe their details.


-Maybe go for a walk. Release the negative energy. Focus on your walk and think of the nature around.


-Take a shower. Think of anxiety as something on your body and you are washing it off of you.


-Cry. Yes cry. It’s ok to cry, even if you don’t know why. Let out whatever that is building up in you.


I’ve been trying this stuff all day and although I’m still anxious, I haven’t had a panic attack. And I’m not planning on it getting me.
